LXI Standards Documents are developed within the LXI Consortium and LXI Technical Working Groups sponsored by the LXI Consortium Board of Directors. The LXI Consortium develops its standards through a consensus development process modeled after the American National Standards Institute, which brings together volunteers representing varied viewpoints and interests to achieve the final product. Volunteers are not necessarily members of the Consortium and serve without compensation. While the LXI Consortium administers the process and establishes rules to promote fairness in the consensus development process, the LXI Consortium does not exhaustively evaluate, test, or verify the accuracy of any of the information contained in its standards.

These are P-Channel enhancement mode silicon gate power fi eld effect transistors. They are advanced power MOSFETs designed, tested, and guaranteed to withstand a specifi ed level of energy in the breakdown avalanche mode of operation. All of these power MOSFETs are designed for applications such as switching regulators, switching converters, motor drivers, relay drivers and drivers for other high-power switching devices. The high input impedance allows these types to be operated directly from integrated circuits.

The SP486 and SP487 are low–power quad differential line drivers meeting RS-485 and RS-422 standards. The SP486 features a common driver enable control the SP487 provides independent driver enable controls for each pair of drivers. Both feature tri–state outputs and wide common–mode input range. Both are available in 16–pin plastic DIP and SOIC packages.
