    In this paper we describe a control methodology for catching a fast moving object with a robot manipulator, where visual information is employed to track the trajectory of the target. Sensing, planning and control are performed in real-time to cope with possible unpredictable trajectory changes of the moving target, and prediction techniques are adopted to compensate the time delays introduced by visual processing and by the robot controller. A simple but reliable model of the robot controller has been taken into account in the control architecture for improving the performance of the system. Experimental Results have shown that the robot system is capable of tracking and catching an object moving on a plane at velocities of up to 700 mm/s and accelerations of up to 1500 mm/s2.

    迭代自适应Simpson,Lobatto积分 In almost every standard book on numerics quadrature algorithms like the adaptive Simpson or the adaptive Lobatto algorithm are presented in a recursive way. The benefit of the recursive programming is the compact and clear representation. However, recursive quadrature algorithms might be transformed into iterative quadrature algorithms without major modifications in the structure of the algorithm. We present iterative adaptive quadrature algorithm (adaptiveSimpson and adaptiveLobatto), which preserves the compactness and the clarity of the recursive algorithms (e.g. quad, quadv, and quadl). Our iterative algorithm provides a parallel calculation of the integration function, which leads to tremendous gain in run-time, in general. Our Results suggest a general iterative and not a recursive implementation of adaptive quadrature formulas, once the programming language permits parallel access to the integration function.     Because of the poor observability of Inertial Navigation System on stationary base, the estimation error of the azimuth will converge very slowly in initial alignment by means of Kalmari filtering, and making the time initial alignment is longer. In this paper, a fast estimation method of the azimuth error is creatively proposed for the initial alignment of INS on stationary base. On the basis of the the fast convergence of the leveling error, the azimuth error can be directly calculated. By means of this fast initial alignment method, the time of initial alignment is reduced greatly. The computer simulation Results illustrate the efficiency of the method.

    This demo shows the BER performance of linear, decision feedback (DFE), and maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) equalizers when operating in a static channel with a deep null. The MLSE equalizer is invoked first with perfect channel knowledge, then with an imperfect, although straightforward, channel estimation algorithm. The BER Results are determined through Monte Carlo simulation. The demo shows how to use these equalizers seamlessly across multiple blocks of data, where equalizer state must be maintained between data blocks.

    Semantic analysis of multimedia content is an on going research area that has gained a lot of attention over the last few years. Additionally, machine learning techniques are widely used for multimedia analysis with great success. This work presents a combined approach to semantic adaptation of neural network classifiers in multimedia framework. It is based on a fuzzy reasoning engine which is able to evaluate the outputs and the confidence levels of the neural network classifier, using a knowledge base. Improved image segmentation Results are obtained, which are used for adaptation of the network classifier, further increasing its ability to provide accurate classification of the specific content.
