座舱中液晶显示器的背光亮度自动调节功能非常重要，背光亮度直接影响信息的可读性。为了研制高效的能自动调节背光亮度的显示器，通过对相关电路的设计和对单片机定时器和中断器的编程控制，实现了液晶屏亮度的自动和人工调节，使得座舱显示器在各种环境光下都能正常有效的工作。该电路不仅可用于军用显示器还可用于民用显示器。
