This sample provides a generic example of a PCI IDE minidriver. The sample isolates vendor-specific code from the higher-level PCI IDE bus driver, much as SCSI minidrivers isolate code from the SCSI port driver. See the Release Notes section for more information. Addfilter is a command-line application which adds and removes filter drivers for a given drive or volume. It is intended to demonstrate how to insert a filter driver into the driver stack of a device. The sample illustrates how to do this by using the SetupDi APIs. The sample works on the x86 platform. It has only been tested in a 32-bit environment. Since Addfilter is not a driver, it does not deal with Plug and Play or Power Management. No INF file is needed to install this application.

An optimal neuron evolution algorithm for the restoration of linearly distorted images is presented in this paper. The proposed algorithm is motivated by the symmetric positive-definite quadratic programming structure inherent in restoration. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the algorithm not only significantly increases the convergence rate of processing, hut also produces good restoration results.
