To date tests are still the best solution mankind has found to deliver working software. This book is the sum of four years of research and practice in the testing field. The practice comes from my IT consulting background, first at Octo Technology and then at Pivolis the research comes from my involvement with open source development at night and on weekends.

Introduction Some times it is required that we build a shared library (DLL) from an m-file. M-files are functions that are written in Matlab editor and can be used from Matlab command prompt. In m-files, we employ Matlab built-in functions or toolbox functions to compute something. In my past articles, I showed you some ways to use Matlab engine (vis. API, C++ class or Matlab engine API) for employing Matlab built-in functions, but what about functions that we develop? How can we use them in VC? Is there any interface? These listed libraries are written in WTL. But it s really hard to mix both MFC & WTL together. Obviously, it s not reasonable to ask a developer or a team to giving up MFC and move to the WTL world just because there were some great controls or visual Frameworks written in WTL (there are many things that should be considered especially in a company with hundreds of developers like the company I work for). Unfortunately, there was no such good and free visual Framework in MFC until now. Passing_your_param0 This folder contains instructions (and m files) for passing you own initial parameters to the fitting function. I also included a simple simulation script that will create random initial coefficients (under the proper bounds) and fit the model to the data.

This LDPC software is intended as an introduction to LDPC codes computer based simulation. The pseudo-random irregular low density parity check matrix is based on Radford M. Neal’s programs collection, which can be found in [1]. While Neal’s collection is well documented, in my opinion, C source codes are still overwhelming, especially if you are not knowledgeable in C language. My software is written for MATLAB, which is more readable than C. You may also want to refer to another MATLAB based LDPC source codes in [2], which has different flavor of code-writing style (in fact Arun has error in his log-likelihood decoder).
