This Symbian C++ code example demonstrates how to easily use the onboard camera with zoom and autofocus, utilising an accompanying CameraWrapper made by Forum Nokia. The Camera Wrapper supports all Nokia s S60 devices based on S60 3rd Edition and newer, providing a unified interface for various Symbian and S60 camera APIs some of which have previously been Feature Pack specific or only available via an SDK plug-in. The example application supports the use of both the keypad and touch UI. The application can be self-signed, but it also provides an option to use the dedicated camera key (Symbian signing required). The example application replaces the separate examples published for S60 3rd Edition, FP1 (S60 Platform: Camera Example with AutoFocus Support v2.2) and FP2 (S60 Camera Example AutoFocus 3rd Ed FP2).

Abstract—The contourlet transform is a new two-dimensional extension of the wavelet transform using multiscale and direc- tional fi lter banks. The contourlet expansion is composed of basis images oriented at various directions in multiple scales, with fl exible aspect ratios. Given this rich set of basis images, the contourlet transform effectively captures smooth contours that are the dominant feature in natural images.

The uIP implementation is designed to have only the absolute minimal set of features needed for a full TCP/IP stack. The software and hardware development fields evolved along separate paths through the end of the 20th century. We seem to have come full circle, however. The previously rigid hardware on which our programs run is softening in many ways. Embedded systems are largely responsible for this softening. These hidden computing systems drive the electronic products around us, including consumer products like digital cameras and personal digital assistants, office automation equipment like copy machines and printers, medical devices like heart monitors and ventilators, and automotive electronics like cruise controls and antilock brakes. Embedded systems force designers to work under incredibly tight time-tomarket, power consumption, size, performance, flexibility, and cost constraints. Many technologies introduced over the past two decades have sought to help satisfy these constraints. To understand these technologies, it is important to first distinguish the underlying embedded systems elements.

LUFA (Lightweight USB Framework for AVRs) is my first foray into the world of USB. Originally based on the AT90USBKEY from Atmel, it is an open-source, driver for the USB-enabled AT90USBXXX AVR microcontroller series, released under the permissive MIT License (see documentation or project source for full license details). Currently, the AT90USB1286, AT90USB1287, AT90USB646, AT90USB647, AT90USB162, AT90USB82, ATMEGA16U4 and ATMEGA32U4 AVR microcontrollers are supported by the library. Supported boards are the USBKEY, STK525, STK526, ATAVRUSBRF01 and the RZUSBSTICK.
