<P> 中国人习惯把高档消费品称为“奢侈品”。“起这个名儿不太合理，”国家统计局总经济师姚景源如是说，他主张将有的现在叫做“奢侈品”的商品改称“时尚品”。作为奢侈品之列的化妆品美容消费是否会日益占据人们的视线并越来越诱惑人们的腰包呢？答案是肯定的。
<P> 不要把“扩大消费”和“建设节约型社会”简单对立
<P> 建立“节约型社会”是否会挤压消费市场？这是很多人担忧的问题。针对“节约就是节衣缩食”，国家统计局总经济师姚景源认为，在实际经济运行中，绝大多数商品消费量会随人们收入的增加而增加，但是有些商品，随着生活水平提高，其消费反而会减少。
<P> 姚景源分析，低档商品在消费中的减量是经济发展的自然现象，减少消费低档品不等于不节约，“节约”不等于让人们都回到吃大白菜的年代。
<P> 对于今天中国人习惯将高档消费品称为“奢侈品”。姚景源的观点是：“起这个名儿不太合理，”他主张将有的现在叫做“奢侈品”的商品改称“时尚品”。他认为，奢侈是贬义，咱们把名字改改，这其实是一个观念的转变。
<P> 为什么提节约？“节约最终是为了更好地消费，消费是经济发展的最终目的和归宿。”姚景源肯定地说道。亦正如他近日在公开场合给出的一个满怀信心的预期：２００６年，在拉动中国经济的投资、消费、出口“三驾马车”中，消费的作用将渐渐凸显。
<P> 中国已成为世界第三大奢侈品消费国
<P> “奢侈品展吸引富豪排队观看，明年还来中国办”“我国年轻人渐成超前消费和奢侈品消费的主力”“奢侈的中国幻象，对奢侈品又爱又恨的中国白领”，２００５年，“奢侈品”成为各大媒体关注的重点。
<P> 中国对奢侈品的消费情况如何？最近，高盛提供的一份关于中国奢侈品市场的研究报告很有说服力。
<P> 这份报告称，除私人飞机、豪华游艇外，２００４年中国奢侈品消费额已经达到６０亿美元，在全球奢侈品消费中的份额已增长至１２％。在未来４年中，中国奢侈品消费需求将达到每年约２５％的复合年增长率，在２００８年将占全球市场份额的１９％；在２０１５年将占２９％，并超过日本的２８％。届时，中国的奢侈品消费者将与日本的奢侈品消费者抗衡。目前日本在奢侈品行业的消费大约为总销售额的４１％，为世界第一大奢侈品消费国。
