Another bidder has placed a Proxy Bid on the item. When a bidder has made a Proxy Bid, no subsequent bids will be accepted until they exceed the amount of the Proxy Bid. The Proxy Bid feature will automatically adjust the Proxy Bidder's bid to the next winning bid amount (in this case, your bid amount) when he or she has been outbid by another bidder.
