This application, built in VB using MapObjects, allows the user to zoom in, zoom out and pan using

DynamicZoom MapObjects 2.0a Demo

Description:

This application, built in VB using MapObjects, allows the user 
to zoom in, zoom out and pan using only the mouse.  The pan is
a 'dynamic pan'; just push the mouse in the direction you would
like to pan.  

The application also shows scale dependent display and attribute
retrieval. 


To Start the Demo:
-----------------
1) Start Visual Basic
2) Open dynamiczoom.vbp
3) Press the "Run" button.

      OR

Double click on the dynazoom.exe found in the dynamiczoom demo
directory.

Running the Demo:
----------------
The user is presented with a form which has 2 map controls, the
larger one is the Area of Interest Map and the other is a Location
Map.  Other controls include a listbox for attribute display, 
checkboxes for pan control and buttons for help and exit. 

You can zoom in by pressing the left mouse button anywhere in the 
Area of Interest Map.  Zoom out by pressing the right mouse button 
anywhere in the Area of Interest Map.  More detailed data will be 
displayed as you zoom in, less detailed data as you zoom out.

Panning is toggled on/off by either clicking the 'Pan' button
on the form or pressing 'ALT A' on the keyboard.  When 'Pan' is on
your mouse cursor will be at the center of the 'Area of Interest' map.
Simply push the mouse in the direction you would like to pan.

Another way to pan is to use the Location Map.  Toggle OFF the 
pan mode, if necessary, by pressing 'CTL A' or pressing the Pan
checkbox.  Hold the left mouse button down while pointing to 
the red locator box and drag it anywhere on the Location Map. 
The Area of Interest map (and attributes if toggled on) will update 
as you drag the red box around the map.

Parcel attribute information can be retrieved from the database
by pressing the 'Identify' checkbox or pressing 'Alt D' while the 
cursor is anywhere in the 'Area of Interest Map'.  Data will be 
displayed in the ListBox below the Location Map.  This option is
available only when the parcels are drawn on the screen and the
'Pan' option is checked on.  Notice that the information changes 
as you pan from one parcel to another. 

Simple instructions can be displayed by pressing the `Help' button.

Exit the demo by pressing the `Exit' button.
