This readme file describes the content in the different directories of the Altera a8259 MegaCore version 1.2.
For operational details of the a8259 MegaCore, please refer to the a8259 datasheet. This document also highlights
the fixes made in version 1.2.

Changes and Fixes made in Version 1.2
**************************************

The following changes and fixes were made in the a8259 for the Version 1.2 release.

*	The a8259 has been optimized for the following device families: FLEX8000, FLEX10K, FLEX10KA,FLEX10KE, ACEX1K, FLEX6000, APEX20K, 
	APEX20KE, MAX7000.

*	The following problems were found in version 1.1 and fixed in version 1.2 of the a8259.
	- In some cases when in cascade mode the a8259 acting like a master would drive erroneously, the cas_out[] lines causing confusion
	  on the slave, even if there is no slave pending interrupt request.
	- The master also dropped pending slave interrupts in some rare cascade mode cases.
