This code is described in "Computational Geometry in C" (Second Edition), Chapter 8. It is not written to be comprehensible without the explanation in that book. Prints out one arm configuration to reach given target. Assumes number of links >= 3. Input: nlinks Number of links L1 L2 ... Ln Link lengths x0 y0 target0 x1 x2 target1

Wireless range extenders or wireless repeaters can extend the range of an existing wireless network. Range extenders can be strategically placed to elongate a signal area or allow for the signal area to reach around barriers such as those created in L-shaped corridors. Wireless devices connected through repeaters will suffer from an increased latency for each hop. Additionally, a wireless device connected to any of the repeaters in the chain will have a throughput that is limited by the weakest link between the two nodes in the chain from which the connection originates to where the connection ends

This includes the project using a stereo vision to catch the ball shot from a high pressure air cannon. The trajectory of the ball is located first by finding the ball color in the left and right camera. Then the trajectory is calculated to estimate the depth from the ball to the camera. The camera is calibrated to map the world coordinate to the camera coordinate and it can reach an accuracy over 90 . Enjoy

There are few technologies that have had a more profound effect on people’s lives than mobile communications. As recently as twenty years ago no one had a mobile phone, while today 1.4 billion men, women and children depend on them. This now exceeds the number of landline users, where it took the preceding one hundred years to reach the 1 billion mark. The ability to make mobile voice calls turns out to be the answer to a deeply felt need across different cultures who simply want to communicate.

The insinuation of telecommunications into the daily fabric of our lives has been arguably the most important and surprising development of the last 25 years. Before this revolution, telephone service and its place in our lives had been largely stable for more than a generation. The growth was, so to speak, lateral, as the global reach of telecommunications extended and more people got telephone service. The distinction between oversea and domestic calls blurred with the advances in switching and transmission, undersea cable, and communication satellites. Traffic on the network remained overwhelmingly voice, largely in analog format with facsimile (Fax) beginning to make inroads.

Changes in telecommunications are impacting all types of user group, which include business users, traveling users, small and home offices, and residential users. The acceptance rate of telecom- munications and information services is accelerating significantly. Voice services needed approximately 50 years to reach a very high teledensity; television needed just 15 years to change the culture and lives of many families; the Internet and its related services have been penetrating and changing business practices and private com- munications over the last 2 to 3 years.

It has been said that the move from narrowband to broadband access is the second revolution for the Internet — ‘broadband is more bandwidth than you can use’. Once users have experienced broadband access there is no turning back. A whole new world of applications and services becomes possible. No longer is it the ‘world- wide wait’. The speed of response and visual quality enabled by broadband finally allows the Internet to reach its true potential.

This book provides a comprehensive overview of the technology behind the pico-solar revolution and offers guidance on how to test and choose quality products. The book also discusses how pioneering companies and initiatives are overcoming challenges to reach scale in the market- place, from innovative distribution strategies to reach customers in rural India and Tanzania, to product development in Cambodia, product assembly in Mozambique and the introduction of ‘pay as you go’ technology in Kenya.
