PCI全称Physical Cell Identifier，即物理小区标识，LTE中终端以此区分不同小区的无线信号。LTE系统提供504个PCI，和TD-SCDMA系统的128个扰码概念类似，网管配置时，为小区配置0～503之间的一个号码。LTE小区搜索流程中通过检索主同步序列(PSS，共有3种可能性)、辅同步序列(SSS，共有168种可能性)，二者相结合来确定具体的小区ID。
