If uisp does not compile successfully, add switch -DNO_DIRECT_IO in the Makefile to remove support for direct I/O port access (that may be necessary on non-PC architectures). Parallel port access should still work if you have the Linux ppdev driver (patch for 2.2.17 is in the kernel directory, ppdev is standard in 2.4 kernels). Please lobby Alan Cox to include this tiny little driver in 2.2.x too :). USB小知识 对于微软来说，如果外设没有实现即插即用，就无法获得WHQL 认证。而对于 USB IF（USB 实现者论坛）来说，如果外设没有实现即插即用，就无法获得USB 的认证，不能使用USB 的标识。这个标识可以在USB 的官方网站www.usb.org 看到（本文的下面也有），由于在USB2.0 规范发布之后，USB IF 改变了原先的 标识，有些制造商仍使用原先的标识，这其实也是在欺骗用户。
