The purpose of this application note is to describe the main elements of an RS-422 and RS-485 system. This application note attempts to cover enough technical details so that the system designer will have considered all the important aspects in his data system design. Since both RS-422 and RS- 485 are data transmission systems that use balanced differential signals, it is appropriate to discuss both systems in the same application note. Throughout this application note the generic terms of RS-422 and RS-485 will be used to represent the EIA/TIA-422 and EIA/TIA-485 Standards.

Abstract: Transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) are widely used to translate the current output of sensors like photodiode-to-voltagesignals, since several circuits and instruments can only accept voltage input. An operational amplifier with a feedback resistor fromoutput to the inverting input is the most straightforward implementation of such a TIA. However, even this simple TIA circuit requirescareful trade-offs among noise gain, offset voltage, bandwidth, and stability. Clearly stability in a TIA is essential for good, reliableperformance. This application note explains the empirical calculations for assessing stability and then shows how to fine-tune theselection of the feedback phase-compensation capacitor.

LVDS(低压差分信号)标准ANSI/TIA /E IA26442A22001广泛应用于许多接口器件和一些ASIC及FPGA中。文中探讨了LVDS的特点及其PCB (印制电路板)设计,纠正了某些错误认识。应用传输线理论分析了单线阻抗、双线阻抗及LVDS差分阻抗计算方法,给出了计算单线阻抗和差分阻抗的公式,通过实际计算说明了差分阻抗与单线阻抗的区别,并给出了PCB布线时的几点建议。关键词: LVDS, 阻抗分析, 阻抗计算, PCB设计 LVDS (低压差分信号)是高速、低电压、低功率、低噪声通用I/O接口标准,其低压摆幅和差分电流输出模式使EM I (电磁干扰)大大降低。由于信号输出边缘变化很快,其信号通路表现为传输线特性。因此,在用含有LVDS接口的Xilinx或Altera等公司的FP2GA及其它器件进行PCB (印制电路板)设计时,超高速PCB设计和差分信号理论就显得特别重要。

基于AT89C51应用系统的串行通信设计:介绍了基于AT89C51应用系统中的串行通信软硬件设计方法和实现过程，在基于红外成像技术的电力设备状态检测系统中，将红外测温仪检测到设备的温度数据传给控制电路，进行数据格式的转换后，在RAM 中存储，同时上传给PC机。系统利用MAX232实现RS 232C的EIA 电平与单片机的TTI 电平之闻转换，利用通用串口芯片8251A扩展串行接13'，实现PC机与单片机之问的串行通信。 关键词：串行通信；单片机；接口；RS232C
