This paper presents the key circuits of a 1MHz bandwidth, 750kb/s GMSK transmitter. The fractional-N synthesizer forming the basis of the transmitter uses a Combined phasefrequency detector (PFD) and digital-to-analog converter (DAC) circuit element to obtain >28dB high frequency noise reduction when compared to classicalfrequency synthesis.

Abstract-The effect of the companding process on QAM signals has been under investigation for the past several years. The compander, included in the PCM telephone network to improve voice performance, has an unusual affect on digital QAM data signals which are transmitted over the same channel. The quantization noise, generated by the companding process which is multiplicative (and asymmetric), degrades the detectability performance of the outermost points of the QAM constellation more than that of the inner points. December 19, 2006 - Ant 1.7.0 Available Apache Ant 1.7.0 is now available for download. Ant 1.7 introduces a resource framework. Some of the core ant tasks such as <copy/> are now able to process not only file system resources but also zip entries, tar entries, paths, ... Resource collections group resources, and can be further Combined with operators such as union and intersection. This can be extended by custom resources and custom tasks using resources. Ant 1.7 starts outsourcing of optional tasks to Antlibs. The .NET antlib in preparation will replace the .NET optional tasks which ship in Ant. Support for the version control system Subversion will be only provided as an antlib to be released shortly. Ant 1.7 fixes also a large number of bugs. Semantic analysis of multimedia content is an on going research area that has gained a lot of attention over the last few years. Additionally, machine learning techniques are widely used for multimedia analysis with great success. This work presents a Combined approach to semantic adaptation of neural network classifiers in multimedia framework. It is based on a fuzzy reasoning engine which is able to evaluate the outputs and the confidence levels of the neural network classifier, using a knowledge base. Improved image segmentation results are obtained, which are used for adaptation of the network classifier, further increasing its ability to provide accurate classification of the specific content.
