There are two big areas except menu and tool bar. The left tree is called <A name="mainnavigationtree"><b><i>main navigation tree</i></b></A>. The right area displays the query result when you click item of main navigation tree. We call it <A name="mainresultset"><b><i>main result set</i></b></A>. You can do almost everything by using main navigation tree and main result set as first level entry point. Functions and context information displays have been organizaed to give you intuitive feeling where you are and what you are doing. Just right click one them you can display the context menu. <b><i>In *NIX, you may have to double right click</i></b>.</p> <p>There are 3 main kinds of documents in RealCIX which are Register, Correspondence, and Tax. Budget, reporting, and simulation are utilized to meet report and analysis demand. A series of master records are setup to facilitate user input and maintain data correctness and integrity.</p> <p>The family name is used as the first user account and is thought as the share user for your whole family. You can setup an user account for each member of your family. For exact how-to and concept, goto help of Settings - User management</p> <p>You cannot define new ledger type by your self. You have to use ledger types defined by RealCIX. You can create ledgers you need. You can account each ledger to different user -- just set user property of each ledger. To input fixed asset in register items, you have to use a ledger with ledger type of fixed asset. Only register items in taxable ledgers can be used to trace and calculate your tax amount.</p> <p>Initial balance register can be balanced by historical ledger with ledger type O.</p> <p>Make initial record of your fixed assets by Account settings -- Internal -- Fixed assets. Then press F5 or right click the right pane of main window and choose popup menu Add.</p> <p>Setup the currency you want to use and maintain the exchange rate for it.</p> <p>Initial registers can be made any time. You don't need to do it once before setup RealCIX.</p> <p>RealCIX is intuitive, with good data structures, easy to correct errors. </p> <p>We recommend you using <A href="510r.html">Register document</A> as a easy help place to start to learn both accounting and RealCIX software if you are a fresh woman/man in terms of accounting.
