As for Mike Shi, I do not wish to have further contact with him as I found out <br>
that he had given out the reference I wrote for him to other people who had <br>
 then passed it off as theirs. I found it out as the universities in the US <br>
 usually write a note thanking you for the reference and I got such <br>
 a letter for a student for whom I had not written a reference. After I <br>
contacted her, she told me it was Mike who gave her the reference letter. <br>
This is such a serious crime in the US , <br>
if I reported it to the authorities ,Mike would lose his degree and have to <br>
 give up his PHD plans. I will not do that, but quite honestly Amanda, I am <br>
tired of being used and abused by my former students here. <br>
I will reserve my energies for those who have proven themselves to me to <br>
be  honest and faithful friends.  I hope you can understand my position. <br>
