前几个月一直忙于试验，答辩，护照等，现将PS附在下面，希望对以后申请的飞友有用 <br>

A class in my junior year often comes back into my mind, in which the profes <br>
sor explained my idea about a cycle and acclaimed it as an original one. My <br>
heart was filled with excitement and pride at that moment when I met the ad <br>
mirable eyes of my classmates. It greatly encouraged me to choose Mechanical <br>
Engineering as my future career. It's also in this year that I joined the r <br>
esearch group in XXX Institute. Working in our institute strengths my intere <br>
st in this field. <br>
Now when I am going to get my Master degree, I seriously submit this applica <br>
tion to your Ph.D. programs after carefully pondering on my interest, my aca <br>
demic preparation as well as my ambition. <br>
In retrospect, I find myself on a solid base in academic study. My undergrad <br>
uate GPA ranked No. 1 among 160 fellow students in my department. I was awar <br>
ded Zhu Kezhen scholarship (the highest honor in Zhejiang University), XXX A <br>
ward (the highest honor in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning, <br>
PR China) etc. In view of these, my department enrolled me as a graduate stu <br>
dent, waiving regular mandatory examinations, a privilege that is granted to <br>
the exceptionally gifted students. During my undergraduate years, I, unlike <br>
most students in China, managed to pay the school expenses on my own. This <br>
experience greatly shaped my characteristic of independence, and more import <br>
antly, frequently brings me the courage to strive for success. <br>
I've gradually accumulated research experiences since I began to work in lab <br>
s 1998. XXX was my first laboratory project, in which my task was to observe <br>
the growth of ice crystal in experiment and give probable explanation for i <br>
ts variation. In addition to learning some experimental skills, I systematic <br>
ally investigated crystallization mechanism in this project. <br>
In the beginning of 1999, I worked independently on XXX. I not only find out <br>
the optimum working condition for non-azeotropic mixtures, but also designe <br>
d an experimental apparatus for further study. This research resulted in my <br>
Excellent Bachelor Degree Dissertation. Furthermore I laid a good foundation <br>
on the calculation of liquid-vapor equilibrium for refrigerant mixtures. <br>
I have been studying XXX since September 2000. I completed its optimization <br>
for maximal efficiency, simulation under different operation conditions and <br>
comparison with traditional ones. In order to testify my theoretical work, I <br>
constructed a set of experimental apparatus and designed a series of experi <br>
ment that is going to be carried out soon. My papers reporting my results ar <br>
e going to appear in key journals of China. After years of study and researc <br>
h, it becomes clearer and clearer in my heart that Mechanical Engineering is <br>
where to find my happiness and success in the future. <br>
I have been eager to study for my Ph.D. Degree in University of Illinois at <br>
Urbana-Champaign for a long time. My advisor strongly recommended UIUC to me <br>
after he visited several American universities in 1999. Upon his introducti <br>
on, I noticed many research areas of my interest in your department, such as <br>
XXX, XXX,XXX etc. All these areas are where I would like to devote my intel <br>
lect and energy. I am especially attracted by the industrially relevant rese <br>
arch program in XXX center. This field is exactly what I was trained in the <br>
past six years in Zhejiang University. I deeply love this field so that I ho <br>
pe to participate in more research on it. <br>
With extensive interest, good academic record and research experience, I am <br>
longing to join your graduate program, so that I can take a step forward to <br>
my life-long career: to be a productive scientist. I really appreciate your <br>
favorably consideration in my application. <br>
