(according to the external DC Power Supply characteristics described on

initializes the board:</font>

<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">All LED swing
once,</font></li>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">When the boot
is completed, the D1 LED must be lit (D10 and D11 too).</font></li>

<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">On-board Functional Test
Software (FTS) Sequence: </font>
<ul>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Connect the serial
cable between SERIAL A and Serial B sockets (supplied with the AT91 Evaluation
Kit),</font></li>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Hold the SW1 button
and power-up or generate a reset on the board,</font></li>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">All the leds blink
once and remains lit,</font></li>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Release the SW1 button:
The Functional Test Software is running now (For more explanation <a href="fts.html" target="_blank"><img src="../picture/info.gif" width="75" height="18" align="absmiddle" border="0"></a>
)</font></li>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Leds D1 to D8 light
up one after the other. Each LED indicates that one test is completed:</font>
<ul>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">If a LED lights
up once, the respective test is passed</font></li>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">If a LED lights
up twice, the respective test is failed</font></li>
</ul>

<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Shutdown the board</font></li>
<li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Remove the cable between
both serial sockets.</font></li>
