Introduction: This model demonstrates several features of OPNET's custom animation(icon swapping, link color changing, and text drawing), using theStatic Distributed Routing Model. See the OPNET Models/Base&General/10 Manual for more information on this model. To prepare the model for execution, follow these steps:1. Add new icons to your list of icon databases in the environment database file (env_db<rel>): opnet.icon_dbs: <other_icon_dbs>, sdr2. Add the following line to your mod_dirs in your env_db<rel> file: <mil3_dir>/<release>/models/compat_25/eth_net,
.........................../compat_30 Comment the following 2 lines out of your mod_dirs in your env_db<rel> file: # <mil3_dir>/<release>/models/std/ethernet, # <mil3_dir>/<release>/models/std/sdr, (Remember to replace them once you are no longer using the sdr_anim models) 3. Run the simulation sequence sdr_anim.seq from the Simulation Tool.Running the animation: Two animation views appear. The bottom viewdisplays icon swapping, and the text records queue utilization. Themain activities in the bottom view end when the queues become empty. The top view, showing link utilization, then activates. Every thirtyseconds, the link colors may change: red depicts heavily-used links;violet indicates ones that are lightly-used.
