This is currently the default LockFactory used for <A HREF="../../../../org/apache/lucene/store/FSDirectory.html" title="class in org.apache.lucene.store"><CODE>FSDirectory</CODE></A> if no LockFactory instance is otherwise provided. Note that there are known problems with this locking implementation on NFS.
