<h2>Note on &lt;pre&gt;</h2>

<p>It is worth noting that while &lt;xmp&gt; is deprecated, the &lt;pre&gt; 
tag does not perform all of the functions of &lt;xmp&gt;:</p>

<p>&lt;pre&gt;&lt;b&gt;Hello&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/pre&gt; displays <b>Hello</b></p>

<p>&lt;xmp&gt;&lt;b&gt;Hello&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/xmp&gt; displays &lt;b&gt;Hello&lt;/b&gt;</p>
