If any body knows, how to facet an entity with minimum edge length

Please tell me how?

NOTE:- maximum edge length is available for sub-dividing triangulation. Minimmum will be useful for removing unwanted triangles.

Hi All,

Attached is a SAT file generated thru a VB program. The program is being
written to convert ploygons from 2d to 3d format.

If anyone can check this file or can send me any extra documentation, if
you have, it would be of great help.

I think was I am missing in this file is the sequence of entities.

hi nilesh,
 you need to create FileInfo object using which you can set properties to 
your sat file while you are trying to save it.

a small Code snipet:

	FileInfo f_info;  // Create FileInfo Object
	f_info.set_units(10.0);  // inches or cm or mm what ever
                                 // you need here

I guess I have a problem with the ACIS dlls. It is really wired. If I
put the follow code in a C++ project, it works fine. 
 
ENTITY_LIST ent_list;
FILE* geom_file = fopen(szFileName,"r");
api_restore_entity_list  (geom_file, TRUE, ent_list);
fclose(geom_file);      
 
int ent_number = ent_list.count();
fprintf(this->m_pFpDebug, "read in bodies %d\n", ent_number); 
fprintf(this->m_pFpDebug, "read in filename %s\n", szFileName);
 
Here are the results printed in the this->m_pFpDebug.
 
read in bodies 2
read in filename ./femur.sat
num_entM : 1
num_entL : 1
read in bodies 20
read in filename ./insert.sat
num_entM : 10
num_entL : 10
 
However, if I compile my C++ codes to make a dll and use another C++
program to call this dll, wired things happens. The code can be compiled
and run with no problem. It can read in the geometry files (sat files),
but can not do calculations correctly. For example, ent_list.count()
returns a zero instead of the number of entities. Here are the wrong
results printed in the this->m_pFpDug.

Additional information is that there are differences for the two cases
in the mmgr.log file. The first several lines of mmgr.log from the

Create an object of FileInfo. SetUnits to this object and then 
api_set_file_info should work.

Thank you for your input. 
 
I am using the debug build (NT_DLLD). Do I need to do anything else
besides setting the environment variable ARCH as NT_DLLD to debug build?
 
I set my C++ dll project setting (the project will be built to make a
dll) as shown in the 'Developer Studio.txt' in the tutorial CD. Also, I
made the same setting for my C++ driver program as for my dll project.
Do need to 'tell' this driver program something else in order to call
the ACIS dlls?

    plz get sure that if you are building debug to use also the debug
build of ACIS (NT_DLLD) & if you are building release to use the release
