Subject: [Acis-alliance] memory leaks (ACIS +MFC)

Hello All,
I have memory leaks in application when use "MFS as shared dll" and ACIS
modeller
This problem can be reproduced in acis_catia (sample from acis_iop) by
adding  #include "afxwin.h"
mmg.log is clean - acis doesn't find any leaks but visual studio find
several leaks.

I think problem in conflict  DEBUG_NEW  in "afx.h" and ACIS_NEW. How can I
solve such problems?

I'm using VC++7.1 ACIS R14sp4 compile in mode NT_NET_DLLD

Hi all,
I am working on ACIS R14.
I created some part geometries in Solidworks and saved as .sat v11 files.
When I restored these parts in ACIS and queried for the sense of face
forward/reverse w.r.t. surface normal.
I observed that,
- All convex conical and spherical faces  have sense REVBIT = 0.
- and all concave conical and spherical faces have sense REVBIT = 1.
Should I conclude from this that-
positive features (protrusions) have sense 0
and negative features (holes) have sense 1.

No, it's not true.
REVBIT flag for face says if face normal has the same direction as surface
or opposite.
De-facto it depends how face has been created.
Think about non-manifild geometry. Some faces may have REVBIT=1 and some
faces REVBIT=0 for same surface.

The sense bit just asks whether to complement the surface normal of the
underlying surface.  For cones and spheres, yes, convex is defined as
"outward", so it matches what you're thinking.  For planes, outward is
"in direction of surface normal", so can be either way without saying
anything about convexity.  For NURBS, outward is relative to the grid of
control points, so, again, can be arbitrary relative to convexity.

Hi all,
I am working on ACIS version 6.0.3 .
I created a complex assembly model  in pro/engineering wildfrie2.0  and saved as .sat  files.
When I restored this  model  in ACIS ,
I observed that,
the parts of model can be readed, but they can't be displayed.
The display fuction is : CAcisView::OnDraw (  CDC* pDC) 
this fuction can display some other models exactly, but I oberved that it run into dead cycle when display this model. 
Is it the problem of ACIS version? how to resolve this display problem?

Check if B-rep of this model is correct.
Load it into the ACIS Scheme and check it there.
