to be negated.

I would prefer to let ACIS recompute the values, but see no way to force
this to happen.  I can get the values with param_range(), negate them, and
try to set them with set_param_range().  This says it will fail if the
supplied values are not correct.  If it is checking this, is there any way
to simply force them to undefined or to force them to recompute?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

api_apply_transform and api_transform_entity only modify the transform
attached to the body.  The underlying data is transformed by ACIS when
needed for doing operations and for visualization, but it is not modified in
the BODY.

To propagate the changes throughout the body, you need to call 

api_change_body_trans( BODY*  body, 
                       TRANSFORM*  new_transform, 
                       logical  negate = FALSE, 
                       AcisOptions*  ao = NULL) 

For what you want, you need to supply only the body to transform and a NULL
pointer for the new_transform.  This will change the data in the geometry so
that no transform is required at the BODY level.

I use "api_apply_transform" and "api_transform_entity" to tranform a body. I

can actually see the tranformation happening before I save the transformed 
body.
I have a program that uses information of selected faces(eg face normal)to 
make other bodies. However it seems that it uses the faces information
without 
the effect of transformation. In other words I am getting the same type of 
result when using faces of a transformed body as when using faces of a non-
transformed body.
I will be grateful if anyone can help me sort out the problem

   I am a new user of ACIS.I have several questions.
   1.Hwo to display a point.I know the function MakePoint can make a
point,but I don't know how to display it on the screen.
   2.Hwo to display coordinate names(x,y,z).I set
view3d::set_axes_length(40) then the axes display,but the name of the
axes(x,y,z)don't appear.
   3.Hwo to display text on the screen.
   4.Hwo to set the style of the edge,especially its width.

If you want to display entity in MFC view ,you must add it to the
m_AcisDoc->part.
To do that ,you just need to use a pair of function StartEntityCreation and
EndEntityCreation
when you create a new ENTITY,or StartEntityModification and
EndEntityModification when you
modify a body.
Take your code as an example:

StartEntityCreation();

outcome r1 = create_wire_from_edge_list(elist,wire_body);

if ( r1.ok())
  EndEntityCreation((ENTITY*)wire_body,r1);

And if you want to display WIRE entity,you must make sure edges can display
correctly.You
can set in ***View construction function or OnInitialUpdate function:
     m_pAcisView->GetView3d()->set_edges(TRUE);

That will be OK.
If that works,response me.

Hello,

I've developed a software prototype that uses ACIS as geometric modeller.
However, the prototype does not have graphical user interface (GUI). It uses
HOOPS only for visualization. I have the following questions:

1. What is the simplest way to develop a GUI that works with ACIS?
2. Is ACIS compatible with JAVA? Can I use JAVA to extend the capabilities
of my prototype and make it interactive?

Dear Acis Users,
I am updating my application from ACIS R12 sp7 to R13.
In R13 sp1\sp2 my app does not work properly.
I get the following error:

ACIS Kernel 13.0.2
Function: api_curve_line
Error: Invalid float operation
MODULE: spabase/src

I switched back to r12 and everything is fine!
R13 sp2 does not solve this issue.
 
Is that a Bug? 
Somebody can help me to solve it?

I am doing my graduate studies at Michigan Tech. University. The college
has ACIS 6.3 version. We are planning to buy a new AMD 64-bit processor. I
would like to know if ACIS 6.3 is compatible with AMD 64-bit processor
(AMD 3200+ series)?

Also, can someone give me some info. regarding ACIS programming using
VC++? Is there any information available on web?
