to be negated.I would prefer to let ACIS recompute the values, but see no way to forcethis to happen. I can get the values with param_range(), negate them, andtry to set them with set_param_range(). This says it will fail if thesupplied values are not correct. If it is checking this, is there any wayto simply force them to undefined or to force them to recompute?Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.Alan-------------- next part --------------A non-text attachment was scrubbed...Name: not availableType: application/ms-tnefSize: 2493 bytesDesc: not availableUrl : http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/pipermail/acis-alliance/attachments/20040518/6bea05e7/attachment.binFrom akcrawford at gscad.com Wed May 19 08:16:17 2004From: akcrawford at gscad.com (Crawford, Alan)Date: Wed May 19 11:53:10 2004Subject: [Acis-alliance] Transformations-Effect of FACEs dataMessage-ID: <9BC689DBCB969642B931BF1D87B3E16E7A73B8@postman.grad.com>api_apply_transform and api_transform_entity only modify the transformattached to the body. The underlying data is transformed by ACIS whenneeded for doing operations and for visualization, but it is not modified inthe BODY.To propagate the changes throughout the body, you need to call api_change_body_trans( BODY* body, TRANSFORM* new_transform, logical negate = FALSE, AcisOptions* ao = NULL) For what you want, you need to supply only the body to transform and a NULLpointer for the new_transform. This will change the data in the geometry sothat no transform is required at the BODY level.-----Original Message-----From: Tito Mwinuka [mailto:T.Mwinuka@postgrad.umist.ac.uk]Sent: Wednesday, May 19, 2004 8:01 AMTo: acis-alliance@cs.columbia.eduSubject: [Acis-alliance] Transformations-Effect of FACEs dataDear Alliance!I use "api_apply_transform" and "api_transform_entity" to tranform a body. Ican actually see the tranformation happening before I save the transformed body.I have a program that uses information of selected faces(eg face normal)to make other bodies. However it seems that it uses the faces informationwithout the effect of transformation. In other words I am getting the same type of result when using faces of a transformed body as when using faces of a non-transformed body.I will be grateful if anyone can help me sort out the problemTito Mwinuka_______________________________________________Acis-alliance mailing listAcis-alliance@cs.columbia.eduhttp://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/acis-alliance-------------- next part --------------A non-text attachment was scrubbed...Name: not availableType: application/ms-tnefSize: 2881 bytesDesc: not availableUrl : http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/pipermail/acis-alliance/attachments/20040519/868fedc7/attachment.binFrom iamsweeting at 163.com Wed May 19 22:40:45 2004From: iamsweeting at 163.com (=?gb2312?B?bGl5YW5n?=)Date: Thu May 20 12:09:58 2004Subject: [Acis-alliance] helpMessage-ID: <40AC1AAD.000118.06074@m230.163.com>Hello everyoneHow to show wire body in MFC View ? the following code to create a wirebody//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////EDGE *line1,*arc2,*line3,*line4,*arc5,*line6 ; api_curve_line(position(-20,-10,0),position(10,-10,0),line1); double start_angle = degrees_to_radians(270); double end_angle = degrees_to_radians(360); api_curve_arc(position(10,0,0),10,start_angle,end_angle,arc2); api_curve_line(position(20,0,0),position(20,20,0),line3); api_curve_line(position(20,20,0),position(-10,20,0),line4); start_angle = degrees_to_radians(90); end_angle = degrees_to_radians(180); api_curve_arc(position(-10,10,0),10,start_angle,end_angle,arc5); api_curve_line(position(-20,10,0),position(0,-10,30),line6); BODY* wire_body; ENTITY_LIST elist; elist.add(line1); elist.add(arc2); elist.add(line3); elist.add(line4); elist.add(arc5); elist.add(line6);outcome r1= create_wire_from_edge_list(elist,wire_body);//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////How can I see the "wire_body"?thanks ========================================================真情回馈 超值优惠 VIP邮箱买一送四 买三送十二! http://vip.163.com中国最大的免费邮箱在等你 25兆空间4兆附件! http://mail.163.com点击网易泡泡惊喜无限 全免费手机短信任你发! http://popo.163.comFrom zhanglin at sjtu.edu.cn Fri May 21 10:52:31 2004From: zhanglin at sjtu.edu.cn (=?gb2312?B?1cXB1g==?=)Date: Fri May 21 10:52:56 2004Subject: [Acis-alliance] I am a new user of ACIS and I need your helpMessage-ID: <002b01c43f43$3e7d6320$62bcc1da@hongzongliema>hello everyone, I am a new user of ACIS.I have several questions. 1.Hwo to display a point.I know the function MakePoint can make apoint, but I don't know how to display it on the screen. 2.Hwo to display coordinate names(x,y,z).I setview3d::set_axes_length(40) then the axes display, but the name of theaxes(x,y,z)don't appear. 3.Hwo to display text on the screen. 4.Hwo to set the style of the edge, especially its width. Thanks very much.
