Hi,
	I am getting the following error while executing the sample
workspace of InterOp ACIS to CATIA V5 translator R13 on SUN Solaris
platform:

Hi,
	This error comes when there is clash between CATIA V5 dlls (when
CATIA V5 is already installed in the machine).
"setcatenv" executable should be run to resolve this issue.

Dear ACIS fellows,
i just downloaded Version 14 of ACIS. 
Unfortunately my application refuses to build. The following header files
are mising in ACIS14:

phl.hxx 935 2003.9.12 17:9.22
phl_api.hxx 11233 2003.10.21 5:23.54
phl_cam.hxx 8887 2003.10.21 5:23.54
phl_edge.hxx 9266 2003.10.21 5:23.54
phl_func.err 612 2004.4.8 11:23.26
phl_seg.hxx 8874 2003.10.22 5:44.32
phlentmc.hxx 3245 2003.9.12 17:9.30
phlopts.hxx 4794 2003.9.12 17:9.24

of which we are using
phl_api.hxx
phl_seg.hxx
phl_edge.hxx

What happened to them?
I've seen on the Spatial webpage that there is a product called 3D PHL V5.
Are we supposed to buy this one, when we want to use ACIS14 with our
application? 
Are there other solutions?

Yes, I had similar problems.

The PHL is no longer shipped with V14 if you want hidden line functionality
you have to pay for PHL V5 which is a separate component. If you are going
to pay for this functionality you might want to look around, D-Cubed provide
similar functionality, the HLM (Hidden Line Manager) built on top of  Acis
and there are probably others as well.

Here is a copy of an email I got from support@spatial about this issue.

PHL is discontinued in R14 and hence the headers and the libraries were
not shipped in R14 .

They go on to state that :

an email and letter was sent out to all our customers with R13 release.
Further in this email we recommend customers to evaluate PHLV5 . Further in
this email we recommend customers to evaluate PHLV5 .

i need to create some lines as help lines within my application.
Unfortunately the following doesn't seem to work (no line is viewable):

Hi all,
I'm now able to respond to my own question ;-)
In the meantime I found out, what was wrong.

The model of the line exists but isn't drawn,
 because in order to show wires the following must bei set

view->set_edges( true );

Where view is the 3D view interface for Microsoft Windows system of the
gihusk (view_3d_MS).

So by setting edges to true I was able to solve my problem.
