and loses the topology. When I open this file, I can see nothing. So I want to know how to save the edges(not including faces) to a sat file by using some methods?

  Another question:
  I want to know the detail of api_split_curve:
   outcome api_split_curve (  EDGE* crv, // curve to split  
                              const SPAposition* split_pt,  // position to split at or NULL  
                              EDGE* split_crv, // curve to split with or NULL  
                              ENTITY_LIST& new_crvs,// curves created by the split returned  
                              AcisOptions* ao = NULL  // acis options  
                             );
if I have splited 10 curves or edges, I should get 20 curves in new_crvs, but when I check the new ENTITY_LIST, I can only get 10 curves and as the same to original edges before split. Who can explain this function to me in detail? What is in new_crvs?

I have used a display function for ACIS entities, on Windows platform with 
VC++. In my function these two lines are Windows specific-
DWORD dwStyle 
=(0x00000000L|0x00C00000L|0x00080000L|0x00040000L|0x00020000L|0x00010000L);
   view_3d_MS* view=new view_3d_MS(x,y,width,height,backup,dwStyle);
 
  Now I want to use the same display function on Red-Hat linux platform, 
can anybody tell me what are the equivalent command lines(for the above 
two windows specific lines) in Red-Hat.

I think this is a bug in the documentation because as of ACIS r11, these functions are nowhere to be found, except in the documentation for R11.

Acis documentation says following tips in it's description of FACE class.
Users may also find the topological traversal functions located in kernel/kerndata/top/query.hxx useful for generating lists of faces on other topological entities or lists of edges and vertices on faces. The get_face_box function may be useful to retrieve or recalculate a face's bounding box. The reset_boxes function may be useful to reset the bounding box of a face and its parents. Other functions of note include: 



point_in_face determines the containment of a point versus a face. 


raytest_face determines the intersection of a ray with a face. 


sg_get_face_normal Calculates a normal at a point on a face. 


find_cls_ptto_face finds the closest point to a specified point on a face. 

I was just wondering if anybody has used the functions given in the list like point_in_face etc. I need to use these functions for a project. If anybody has any idea about using these, please let me know.
