When run with no options,<b><a href="./installUlipSolaris.html#top">installUlipSolaris</a></b>provides a mechanism for ULIP to automatically start and stop when Solaris is booted and shutdown. <p>The first action performed by this script is to stop all ULIP services if they are installed and working. Upon successful installation, this scriptalso starts ULIP services before exiting.<p>This script must be run as <b>root</b>.<p>The following files are produced when installing:<p><pre> /etc/init.d/ulip - ULIP start/stop script /sbin/loopd - loopd daemon /kernel/drv/ul - ULIP driver /kernel/drv/ul.conf - ULIP driver configuration file</pre>When run with no arguments the script also installs the following:<p><pre> /etc/rc2.d/S80ulip - Link to /etc/init.d/ulip /etc/rc0.d/K10ulip - Link to /etc/init.d/ulip</pre></blockquote><h4>OPTIONS</h4><blockquote><p><dl><dt><b>basic</b><dd>Install all the files above except the links to <b>/etc/init.d/ulip</b>,and then start ULIP services. Before any installation takes place, this script ensures that ULIP services have been stopped. Using this option, ULIP services can be stopped and started by running the script <b>/etc/init.d/ulip</b>(see the <b><a href="./configUlipSolaris.html#top">configUlipSolaris</a></b> manual page), but it does not provide the mechanism to start and stop ULIP when Solaris changes system run levels.<p><dt><b>uninstall</b><dd> Removes the files above.
