Choose whatever arbitrary name you wish as the user ID for the VxWorks boot ROM. Be sure to specify the same name as the <b class="symbol_lc">user (u)</b> VxWorks boot parameter described in <a href="c-start5.html#84962"><i class="title">2.5.4 Description of Boot Parameters</i></a>.</li></ul></p><p class="listspace"><ul class="Bullet" type="disc"><li><a name="83943"> </a>A password for that user ID. Use any memorable arbitrary string, and be sure to specify the same string as the <b class="symbol_lc">ftp password (pw)</b> VxWorks boot parameter described in <a href="c-start5.html#84962"><i class="title">2.5.4 Description of Boot Parameters</i></a>.</li></ul></p><p class="listspace"><ul class="Bullet" type="disc"><li><a name="83948"> </a>A home directory. The VxWorks boot ROM does not require this information, but WFTPD refuses to connect to a client unless you specify a home directory. Any directory will do, so long as you permit sufficient disk access for the VxWorks boot ROM to read the boot image on your Windows disk.</li></ul></p></dl><dl class="margin"><dd><p class="Body"><a name="83949"> </a>To specify this information, carry out the following steps:</p></dl><dl class="margin"><p><ol class="List"><li value="1."><a name="83950"> </a>Open the WFTPD window and select the <b class="guiLabel"><font face="Helvetica, sans-serif" size="-1" class="sans">Users/rights</font></b> command from the <b class="guiLabel"><font face="Helvetica, sans-serif" size="-1" class="sans">Security</font></b> menu (<a href="x-wftp3.html#83976">Figure F-1</a>).</li></ol></p><p><ol class="List"><li value="2."><a name="83957"> </a>WFTPD displays the <b class="guiLabel"><font face="Helvetica, sans-serif" size="-1" class="sans">User / Rights Security Dialog</font></b> box shown in <a href="x-wftp3.html#83985">Figure F-2</a>. Click the <b class="guiLabel"><font face="Helvetica, sans-serif" size="-1" class="sans">New User</font></b> button; another dialog box appears where you can enter the user name (also shown in <a href="x-wftp3.html#83985">Figure F-2</a>). </li></ol></p><p><ol class="List"><li value="3."><a name="83961"> </a>After you specify the user name and click <b class="guiLabel"><font face="Helvetica, sans-serif" size="-1" class="sans">OK</font></b>, WFTPD displays a third dialog box where you can specify the password (<a href="x-wftp3.html#83994">Figure F-3</a>).
