      <p>　　<font size="4" face="方正姚体">苍苍九峰北麓，茫茫淀山湖之滨，有块四十七平方公里成折扇形的古镇，镶嵌在湖光山色之中。恰似淀山湖畔一颗璀璨的明珠，她就是闻名遐迩的千年古镇朱家角。镇内河港纵横，九条长街沿河而伸，千栋明清建筑依水而立，三十六座石桥古风犹存，名胜古迹比比皆是。

        朱家角历史渊源流长，据史料记载，在宋、元时已形成集市，名朱家村，由于贯穿全镇的漕港河水运方便，遂商业日盛，烟火千家。至明万历年间正式建镇名珠街阁，又称珠溪。清嘉庆年间编撰的《珠里小志》把珠里定名为镇名，俗称角里。朱家角以她得天独厚的自然环境及便捷的水路交通，商贾云集，往来不绝，曾以布业著称江南，号称“衣被天下”成为江南巨镇。明末清初，朱家角米业突起，带动了百业兴旺，时“长街三里，店铺千家”，老店、名店林立，南北百货、各业齐全，乡脚遍及江浙两省百里之外。
