Abstract
--------

Version Viewer is a Beyond Compare plug-in for comparing version
information in file types such as .exe, .sys, .dll, .ocx, .386,
.scr, .drv, .vxd and .bcp.


Installation
------------

Note: Beyond Compare must not be running when you install plug-ins.

1) The setup program (VerView.exe) will install the plug-in in the
   Beyond Compare program folder.  It also adds a Version Viewer
   rules definition if you don't already have one defined.

2) Run Beyond Compare and select Tools | Options | Rules to review
   your File Comparison Rules definitions.  Verify that "Version
   Viewer" appears in the Plug-ins Loaded list at the bottom of the
   dialog.

3) You can edit the file types that Beyond Compare associates
   with the Version Viewer, or change the order of your rules
   definitions, in order to control which viewer appears by default.
   Even if you don't have a rules definition for the Version Viewer,
   you can always right-click over any pair of files and select
   "Open With -> Version Viewer".


Requirements
------------

Plug-ins only work with a registered copy of Scooter Software's 
Beyond Compare version 2.
