ns2MiracleAODV installation instructions

Requirements

* ns-2.33
* ns-miracle-1.2.1

Create a "root" folder

% mkdir <ns-folder>
% cd <ns-folder>

Install NS2

% tar xvfz ns-allinone-2.33.tar.gz
% cd ns-allinone-2.33/
% ./install
% cd ns-2.33/
% ./validate
% cd ../..

As the ./install scripts output at the end, you need to modify some environment variables. Add the following to ~/.bashrc or any other file of your choice

export PATH=$PATH:~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/bin:~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/tcl8.4.18/unix:~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/tk8.4.18/unix
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/otcl-1.13:~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/lib:~/<ns-folder>/lib
export TCL_LIBRARY=~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/tcl8.4.18/library

Install NS-Miracle

% tar xvfz nsmiracle-1.2.1.tar.gz
% cd nsmiracle-1.2.1/
% ./configure --with-ns-allinone=~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/ --prefix=~/<ns-folder> --disable-static
% make && make install
% cd ..

Install ns2MiracleAODV

% tar xvfz nsmiracle-aodv-uu.tar.gz
% cd aodv-uu/
% ./configure --with-ns-allinone=~/<ns-folder>/ns-allinone-2.33/ --prefix=~/<ns-folder> --with-nsmiracle=~/<ns-folder>/nsmiracle-1.2.1 --disable-static
% make && make install

To test the installation (note, you need miraclepong to run this simulation scenario)

% cd samples/
% ns aodv-uu_mesh_plus_wired.tcl
