identification number (VIN) service check

OVERVIEW

is_valid_vin()

Returns true if the VIN is valid, and false otherwise.

get_vin_year()

Extracts the year from the VIN and returns it. Only valid up till 2009.

get_vin_make()

Extracts the make from the VIN and returns it.
