When a file is selected in the File View the commit is performed for the selected resource. It is also possible to select multiple files. When a folder is selected in the Tree View the update is performed on all folders and files. </p> <p>During the commit operation the <tt class="interfacename">Commit</tt> dialog is displayed. This interface allows a free text message to be added to the repository log (see <a href="ch03s24.html" title="Log">the section called “Log”</a>).
