1. Introduction
---------------

Each copy of MG-SOFT's software that you have installed on your
computers must be covered either by it's own Single user license or
by Site license. Licenses must be obtained either directly from
MG-SOFT Corporation or from MG-SOFT's resellers.

2. Single user license vs. Site license
---------------------------------------

When purchasing <N> Single user licenses (N = 1, 2, 3, ...), MG-SOFT
generates <N> unique serial numbers for the purchased licenses and you
receive <N> license.key files. In case of delivery on floppy disk or on
CD ROM, you will receive <N> floppy disks or CD ROMs, each containing
one Single user license. You give one disk to each of <N> users to
install the software on his or her computer. In the About window, the
licensed software displays: 'Single user license' and its unique serial
number. For example: if you order 3 Single user licenses, you receive
3 CD packages, each with its own license.key file. You can install the 
software on 3 PCs, where on each PC different license.key file must be 
used.

When purchasing a Site license for <N> users (N = 2, 3, 4, ...), MG-SOFT
generates one serial number that covers <N> licenses and you receive
one license.key file. In case of delivery on floppy disk or on CD ROM,
you will receive only one floppy disk or CD ROM. The licensed software
can be installed to at most <N> computers within your offices at one
geographical location (and to mobile computers of users based at the
same geographical location). In the About window, the licensed software
displays: 'Site license for <N> users' and the serial number for that
Site license. When you have <N> potential users within the company or
organization at one geographical location, you can purchase a Site
license for <N> users. In case you intend to redistribute license.key
files to users at different locations, you need to purchase an adequate
number of Single user licenses (or an adequate number of Site licenses,
each Site license for the required number of users on the given location).
For example: if you order a Site license for 5 users, you receive one
CD and one license.key file. You can then install the software on 5 PCs,
and each PC must use the same license.key file.

Note that a Site License is not a Floating license. Due to the nature of
the software, the software does not contain any functions for floating
license checking. Many users install the software on their laptops and
then use it somewhere in the field. It might be inconvenient for them
if the software was trying to connect to some kind of licensing server
in order to determine if it is eligible to start-up or not, depending
on the current number of other users.

Without signing an appropriate licensing agreement with MG-SOFT, it is
not permitted to bundle any MG-SOFT's products and license.key files
with your products and ship them to your customers or end-users. This
applies especially to license.key files obtained by purchasing a Site
License for <N> users. This is inappropriate because in such case each
of your end-users receives a Site License for <N> users. By doing that,
you are violating MG-SOFT's License Agreement supplied with the
software!

3. Developer licenses and Redistributable Run-Time licenses
-----------------------------------------------------------

When purchasing a license for MG-SOFT's software development kit, you
will receive a license for one developer and <N> redistributable run-time
licenses (N depends on the actual software development kit). This means
that one developer can install the licensed version of the development
kit to their computer. The <N> redistributable run-time licenses
can be deployed in the development environment in order to test and
debug the product through its development stages. After the product is
finished, the <N> redistributable run-time licenses can be deployed
(bundled with your application) either within your company (i.e., if
you were developing an in-house tool) and/or sold to your end-users
(again, bundled with your application). You are eligible to
redistribute in such manner at most <N> copies of MG-SOFT's run-time
modules in total. If you wish to deploy or redistribute more than <N>
copies of MG-SOFT's run-time modules, you should contact MG-SOFT Sales
Department and obtain an adequate number of additional redistributable
run-time licenses. You are not allowed to redistribute MG-SOFT's run-
time modules as a standalone product.

4. 30-day Evaluation license
----------------------------

Under the 30-day evaluation license, the user is not permitted to use the
evaluation software for any kind of commercial purposes (i.e., performing
any kind of test of other equipment that the user is developing, stress
testing, training and similar)! Such activity can be performed only after
obtaining the licensed version of the software.

After the 30-day evaluation period, the user must either purchase the
licensed version of the software or uninstall and stop using the
evaluation software.

5. Royalty-based and OEM licensing
----------------------------------

If you plan to deploy or resell large quantities of MG-SOFT's run-time
modules bundled with your value-added application, you may wish to
consider purchasing the OEM (unlimited) license. The OEM license
requires only one-time payment of royalties and poses no restrictions
on redistribution of MG-SOFT's run-time modules bundled with your
value-added application.

6. License renewals and migrations
----------------------------------

Renewed or migrated license does not give you an additional license.
Instead, it only replaces your current license with a new license.
After renewing or migrating a license, your old license is legally
revoked and must not be used anymore; you are permitted to use only
the new license.

Site licenses can be renewed or migrated only for the same number
of users as they are covered by the current license.

7. Resellers
------------

If you are a reseller, make sure to provide at least the end-user's
name, company name and E-mail address along with the order. Based on
this information MG-SOFT can issue license(s) for the actual end-user.
Otherwise, the license will be issued to the name of the purchaser.
