This interface receives information about the progress of various processes in KAON2. Different operations may also involve processing of several ontologies. For example, if an ontology imports another ontology, then all imported ontologies are parsed. Depenting on the type of operation, processing may involve several phases. For example, opening of an ontology may involve the phase of parsing the RDF file and then reading the axioms. The phases are documented in the documentation of the operation considered. Each phase consists of different units of work, whose completion is reported through this interface. Each completed unit is reported; it is up to the client to filter these calls (e.g., graphical representation of progress should probably be updated every couple of hundreds units of work to prevent the CPU from being clogged with repaint requests). If an operation is aborted due to an error, this is also reported through this interface.
