输卵管不通主要由感染性炎症使输卵管粘连所引起，可感染性炎症往往为一过性的，短期的。而炎症所引起的输卵管粘连确是永久的，几乎100%的输卵管粘连不通是在婚后不孕检查时方被发现，何时何因引起的输卵管粘连不通早巳成为了历史无头案，在这个时期再抗炎治疗已属亡羊补牢为时已晚。所以输卵管不通的药物治疗几乎是无任何效果的，只有急性输卵管炎症期方可抗炎治疗和药物治疗。应用药物治疗输卵管不通我这里举一个简单的例子，假如一个人的身上生了一个疮，疮好后落了一个疤，这个疤痕能服药治好吗？这显然是不可能的，输卵管不通也是这个道理，以前的炎症痊愈后遗留的输卵管陈旧性粘连不通，再服多少药，对输卵管不通来说都是无济于事的。<br />
输卵管通液检查和治疗输卵管堵塞由于其设备简单，操作俭便，价格低廉等优点。这种方法在80年代前曾被普遍应用。但在临床实际工作中却发现该方法由于是一种盲插盲通，受子宫容积大小、导管宫颈口堵塞不严重成漏液、还有输卵管通水一定的压力下液体可通过子宫内膜开放的血管进入体循环等均能造成通畅的假象；即便是无返流，也不能确定是两条都通畅，还是只有一条通畅，如有返流不能确定阻塞的部位和程度，因此误诊率高达到50%以上，它即不能确定输卵管梗阻部位，又不能明确输卵管梗阻严重程度及性质，如果是输卵管伞端堵塞，由于输卵管伞端肌层较薄，可随所通入的液体增多而逐渐扩张，并且基本无推注阻力，所以输卵管伞端堵塞输卵管通液的误诊率几呼为100%，且有造成象患宫外孕那样输卵管破裂大出血的危险。而明确输卵管梗阻部位、性质是确定输卵管梗阻治疗方法和疗效的关键，这种检查方法现在在诊疗输卵管比较专业的医院早已被输卵管专业医生所废弃</font>
