<p>Let's have a quiz ! If you haven't read the <a href="pasl1007.html">
lesson</a>, you had better do it now before starting.</p>
<h3>Practices (15 min)</h3><ol>
<li>Make a set of <b>FUNCTIONS</b> to perform these tasks :<ul>
<li>Make all letters in a string upcase.</li>
<li>Eliminate trailing spaces.</li>
<li>Eliminate leading spaces.</li>
<li>Change leading spaces with leading zeroes.</li>
<li>Count the number of word in a sentence</li></ul>
<li>Make a procedure to replace a substring within a string with another substring.</li>
<li>Revise the makewin procedure in chapter 5. Use fillchar instead of dirty loops.</li></ol>
<h3>Entertainment (30 min)</h3><ol start=4>
<li>Make a text animation. Display a sentence in the center of the screen.
Let all characters fall one by one. Skip the spaces !</li>
<li>Make a text animation. Run 12.exe from <a href="12.ZIP">12.ZIP</a>. It should be 4605 bytes.</li>
<li>Make a game of garbled word. Suppose you have a word. Garble it so that
the sequence can not be read. User must guess the word.</li></ol>
<h3>Challenge (45 min each)</h3><ol start=7>
<li>Make a simple calculator that can perform addition, substraction, multiplication
and division. User input the equation then press enter. You should give the answer.
Example :<br>
Input : 6*3+4*(5+3)<br>
Output : 50<br>
You MUST regard the precendence of operators.</li>
<li>Make a game just like Wheel of Fortune, for 3 players. All the rules are
the same as Wheel of Fortune. You may use random number to simulate spin
wheel.</li></ol>
<h3>Advanced (14 days) (You may do it or not, optional)</h3>
<p>User input a sentence. You must identify each word in a sentence, e.g. :<br>
Yesterday, I walked around the park with my dog at 10am.<br>

<p>That's all. If you do number 9 correctly within 14 days, you are superior
in computer programming.</p><hr>
