Josh's Linux GuideWritten by Joshua Go (jgo@local.net, http://www.local.net/~jgo/)This guide was originally started to be a reference for myself inthe event that I forgot how to install Red Hat. It was first writtenin Netscape Composer on my dad's laptop under Windows 95. I startedusing Linux because there wasn't a lot of stuff I could do(comfortably) under Windows 3.1 on my 386.I've considered other formats for this guide, but HTML seems to be themost useful format because it can be stored, printed later, viewedimmediately, or browsed through. I can easily create plain textversions of this document, and maybe PostScript, but since I updatethe content frequently, I don't think it would be a good idea to focuson anything other than HTML right now.Last time I counted there were 48 pages (separate HTML files) in thisguide. If I hadn't taken a friend's advice and split the guide up intoseparate pages, it would all be in one huge page, and that would causea lot of unnecessary downloading for a lot of people.I'm looking for people to submit content as well. So far there havebeen some people who sent text files but please, if at all possible, send it in HTML. Also, try to keep the spelling and grammar within therules of standard English, not Internet English. Other than that, justfocus on getting clear content that any Linux newbie (or whomever youraudience is) can understand.Send all your comments to jgo@local.net.
