Josh's Linux Guide

This guide was originally started to be a reference for myself in
the event that I forgot how to install Red Hat. It was first written
in Netscape Composer on my dad's laptop under Windows 95. I started
using Linux because there wasn't a lot of stuff I could do
(comfortably) under Windows 3.1 on my 386.

I've considered other formats for this guide, but HTML seems to be the
most useful format because it can be stored, printed later, viewed
immediately, or browsed through. I can easily create plain text
versions of this document, and maybe PostScript, but since I update
the content frequently, I don't think it would be a good idea to focus
on anything other than HTML right now.

Last time I counted there were 48 pages (separate HTML files) in this
guide. If I hadn't taken a friend's advice and split the guide up into
separate pages, it would all be in one huge page, and that would cause
a lot of unnecessary downloading for a lot of people.

I'm looking for people to submit content as well. So far there have
been some people who sent text files but please, if at all possible,
send it in HTML. Also, try to keep the spelling and grammar within the
rules of standard English, not Internet English. Other than that, just
focus on getting clear content that any Linux newbie (or whomever your
audience is) can understand.
