This includes the ability to translate different color spaces and photometricinterpretation into RGBA, support for alpha blending, and translationof many different bit depths into a 32bit RGBA image..PInternally this program is implemented using the.I TIFFReadRGBAImage()function, and it suffers any limitations of that image. This includeslimited support for > 8 BitsPerSample images, and flaws with someesoteric combinations of BitsPerSample, photometric interpretation, block organization and planar configuration. .PThe generated images are stripped images with four samples per pixel (red, green, blue and alpha) or if the -n flag is used, three samplesper pixel (red, green, and blue). The resulting images are always planarconfiguration contiguous. For this reason, this program is a useful utilityfor transform exotic TIFF files into a form ingestable by almost any TIFFsupporting software. .SH OPTIONS.TP.B \-cSpecify a compression scheme to use when writing image data:.B "\-c none"for no compression (the default),.B "-c packbits"for the PackBits compression algorithm,.B "-c zipfor the Deflate compression algorithm,.B "-c jpegfor the JPEG compression algorithm, and.B "\-c lzw"for Lempel-Ziv & Welch..TP.B \-rWrite data with a specified number of rows per strip;by default the number of rows/strip is selected so that each stripis approximately 8 kilobytes..TP.B \-bProcess the image one block (strip/tile) at a time instead of by readingthe whole image into memory at once. This may be necessary for very largeimages on systems with limited RAM..TP.B \-nDrop the alpha component from the output file, producing a pure RGB file.Currently this does not work if the -b flag is also in effect..SH "SEE ALSO".IR tiff2bw (1),.IR TIFFReadRGBAImage (3t),.IR libtiff (3)
