Cross-layer interaction in Multihop 802.11 Networks(Test simulation package)Kitae Nahm nahm@sipi.usc.eduAhmed Helmy helmy@ceng.usc.eduC.-C. Jay Kuo cckuo@sipi.usc.eduDepartment of Electrical EngineeringUniversity of Southern California (USC)Los Angeles, CA1. IntroductionThis package provides some simple simulation scripts to evaluation the effectof the cross-layer interaction in 802.11 networks. The simulation shows aperformance comaprison of TCP, TCP FeW, and DSR++ over several static andmobile scenarios. More information and NS-2.29 source code of TCP FeW andDSR++ can be foundhttp://biron.usc.edu/~nahm/research.htm2. Simulation packageFirst, Trace-related patchestcp/tcp-sink.cc - receiver's throughput measurement supporttcp/tcp-sink.htrace/cmu-trace.cc - activating "newtrace_" optiontcl/lib/ns-default.tcl - initialization of the new cmu-trace.ccThen, simulation scripts of simple scenarios are in "MANET.simulation" directorychain - 1 to 22 hopsgrid - 7x7 gridrandom-way point mobility modelmanhattan mobility3. Usage- Uncompress the package in the NS-2.29 directory and replace the source code.- 'make' in NS-2.29 directory- Go to MANET.simulation directory, and './test-all' for simulation execution- The result will be stored under "result" directory of MANET.simulation directory4. History- June 16, 2005: first open to the public, for ns-2.27- October 23, 2005: for ns-2.29
