        <h2> How To Add New Help Topics </h2> 
<p>
The list of help topics is actually a modified directory
listing of the files in the ~/cgi-bin/howto and ~/cgi-bin/whatif
directories.  </p>
<p>
You can add a new help topic just by placing the text of the
new topic in a file in either of the above directories.  The name
of the file becomes the text of the listing in the top level
How To or What If page. </p>
<p>
For example, the text of this help topic is in the file:</p>
<p>
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Add_new_help_topics.php</p>
<p>
The file name is converted to the topic listed by replacing
all underscores with spaces, and by removing the trailing .php
string.</p>
<p>
Note that the text of the topic is in a PHP file and not a
HTML file.  For this reason, you should probably copy one of
the existing help files to use as a template for your new
help text.
