<a name="1205088"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The source character set comprises those characters explicitly specified in the Standard, together with all other printable ASCII characters and those characters with values 128 to 254 inclusive. The execution character set comprises all 255 values 0 to 254. Values 0 to 127 represent the ASCII character set. The ASCII value 255 is used as the end-of-file indicator; if this value is required, use the string "<font size=2 face=Courier><strong>\xff</strong></font>" instead.</font>

The escape sequences not represented in the basic execution character set are the octal integer and hexadecimal integer escape sequences, whose values are defined by the Standard.</font>
