</h3>

<a name="1227538"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">In the view, a record is selected by either clicking anywhere in its row or by supplying a <strong>Record Index</strong> value in the <strong>Goto</strong> dialog available from the <strong>Trace and Profile</strong> menu, see <a href="guia17.htm#1143751"><font color="#0000ff" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><i>Section燗.4.7: Trace and Profile menu</i></font></a>. </font>
</p>

<a name="1227542"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The currently selected row is highlighted, and the <strong>Goto</strong> value contains the <strong>Record Index</strong> of the selected row. Once a row is selected, the rows can be navigated using the following keys:</font>

<p> <font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><li ><a name="1227543"> </a><strong>Up</strong> and <strong>Down</strong> move through the records one row at a time,</font></p>
<p> <font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><li ><a name="1227544"> </a><strong>Ctrl+Home</strong> moves to the start of the view,</font></p>
<p> <font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><li ><a name="1227545"> </a><strong>Ctrl+End</strong> moves to the end of the view,</font></p>
<p> <font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><li ><a name="1227546"> </a><strong>Page Up</strong> and <strong>Page Down</strong> move through the records one screen at a time.</font></p>

<a name="1227548"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Once a row is selected, the <strong>Editor</strong> or <strong>Disassembly</strong> window can be opened and located to a column value by double clicking the following columns within the selected row:</font>

<p> <font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><li ><a name="1227550"> </a><strong>To IPtr Source Reference</strong>, <strong>From IPtr Source Reference</strong> or <strong>Capture Data IPtr Source Reference</strong> open the code in an <strong>Editor</strong> window and identify the suitable line.</font></p>

<a name="1227553"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">A column may be hidden from a view table using the <strong>Columns</strong> dialog in the <strong>Trace and Profile</strong> menu, see <a href="guia17.htm#1143751"><font color="#0000ff" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><i>Section燗.4.7: Trace and Profile menu</i></font></a><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><i>. </i></font></font>

<a name="1227565"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">In the <strong>Columns</strong> dialog is a tick box for all possible columns. If a column is ticked, it is displayed if the trace settings can generate the data for that column. There is no warning if a column cannot be displayed. For example, the <strong>Task Name</strong> column can be requested on a DCU2, but the trace settings do not support the generation of this column (as <span class=Signal>Wptr</span> is required). All columns can be selected by clicking on <strong>Select All</strong> and they can all be hidden by clicking on <strong>Clear All</strong>.</font>
</p>
<p>
<a name="1227566"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">In a view tab, the width of a column can be manually resized by selecting a column edge in the column title. It can be auto-sized to the maximum width of a field value by double clicking the edge in the column title. A column can be moved left or right relative to the other columns by dragging and dropping the column title.

<a name="1227656"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Sometimes trace records are available but are not displayed in the <strong>Trace and Profile</strong> window until the window is refreshed. This is shown in the <strong>Pending buffers</strong> status indicator. </font>

<a name="1227682"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Depending on the settings in the <strong>Trace and Profile Acquisition Settings</strong> window, these records may be downloaded to the <strong>Trace and Profile</strong> window automatically, or either the <strong>Stop Trace</strong> or <strong>Update View</strong> button must be clicked to download the current contents of the target trace buffer</font>
</p>
<p>
<a name="1227683"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">When new records are incorporated into the view, the pending buffers value is reset to 0. In this way, the information displayed can be manipulated by the user without new records being added.</font>
