The toolset compiler used by <strong>st20cc</strong> is an ANSI standard C compiler which conforms to <em>ISO/IEC 9899:1990 Programming languages - C</em>. When processing C++ code, <strong>st20cc</strong> invokes the Edison Design Group preprocessor to convert C++ into C.</font>

<a name="1208272"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">A target processor core must be selected; there is no default. The processor cores supported are the ST20C1 and ST20C2. These may selected by specifying the <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>c1</strong></font> and <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>c2</strong></font> options respectively. The recommended method is to specify either the <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>chip</strong></font> or <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>processor</strong></font> command within a procedure in a startup file, and call the procedure on the <strong>st20cc</strong> command line using the <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>p</strong></font> option.
