The <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>depend</strong></font> option creates a file containing makefile dependencies of the supplied source files. This file can be included into a makefile to ensure that build dependencies are always kept up to date.</font>

<a name="1209031"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>make</strong></font>, and associated <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>makeinfo</strong></font>, provide a simple method of instructing <strong>st20cc</strong> to avoid unnecessary builds. If the <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>make</strong></font> option is given to <strong>st20cc</strong>, the tool avoids recompilation of a file using the following rules.</font>

<a name="1209036"> </a><font size=2 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size=2 face=Courier><strong>-makeinfo</strong></font> must be used in conjunction with <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>make</strong></font> in order to produce information about the make process. If the <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>make</strong></font> option is not used, then <font size=2 face=Courier><strong>makeinfo</strong></font> has no effect.</font>
