You have to run  <strong class="command">configure</strong> with option <span class="option">--with-dbplus</span> to  build this extension. </p> <p class="para">  <strong class="command">configure</strong> looks for the client libraries and header files  under the default paths <var class="filename">/usr/dbplus</var>,  <var class="filename">/usr/local/dbplus</var> and <var class="filename">/opt/dblus</var>.
