IOS commands found on Cisco routers. As you will discover, the Catalyst
command line interface can be quite different from that of the routers and even
varies within the product lines. The 1900 and 2800 series originated at
Grand Junction, the 3000 family comes from Kalpana, the 5000 series family comes
from Crescendo, and the 8500 and 2900XL were designed by Cisco and are IOS
based. Each of these support different command sets, our focus will be on
the 5000 family.
