Logging on to a Cisco Router</font></b></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><i>Objective</i>: To introduce
the Cisco Router.<br>
<i>Lab Equipment</i>: We will be using eRouter 1. To select
eRouter 1 click on the button labeled "eRouter 1" at the top of your
screen..</font></p>
<p><b><font color="#FF00FF">1</font></b>. If you have not done so already, click on the
"eRouter 1" button located at
the top of your screen. The eRouter 1 window will open and the text
<font face="Terminal" size="2">Press Enter
to Start</font> will appear. If your lab window closes, click the 'Tile" button
on the toolbar to view both windows at the same time, or click the "Print"
button on top to print the lab.</p>
<p><font color="#FF00FF"><b>2.</b></font> Click inside the eRouter 1 window and press the
"Enter" key to get started.
You are now connected to eRouter 1 and are at the user mode prompt. The prompt is
broken down into two parts, the hostname and the mode. "eRouter" is the
eRouter
1's hostname and "<font face="Terminal" size="2">></font>" means you are in user mode.</p>
