从移动通信市场的走势来看，国外移动通信运营商已开始涉及多媒体服务的领域，并开始为用户提供更好的因特网服务和其它正在发展的数据通信业务，使用户可以用他们的手机在股票市场上进行交易，推出了功能全面的移动电话银行服务网络，使顾客能够用手机办理银行转账业务。由此可见，国外移动通信运营商已经开始关注这一焦点，并迅速将数据业务投入到商用的过程中，因此GPRS将会成为GSM网络向第三代移动通信演进过程中必然的中间环节。</FONT>
